About The Position

Shelby Foam Systems, a division of Magna Seating, manufactures foam seat cushions, backs, armrests, and headrests used in the automotive industry. Shelby Foam Systems operates on three shifts. Employees must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week and some weekends as required by customer production schedules. All jobs are done while standing. This is a regular/permanent, full-time position with weekly pay.

Requirements

• No experience required. Will be trained.
• Typically bends, stoops, crouches, reaches, grips, grasps and pinches on a regular basis to access material product components and equipment.
• Regularly moves about to coordinate work on the plant floor.
• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 10lbs, and push/pull up to 20 lbs.
• Constant standing.
• Overtime may be required.
• Skills test required

Responsibilities

• Prepare molds so foam does not stick to the mold
• Inserts components in molds depending on part specification
• Foam is formed, part is removed from the mold, mold is cleaned
• Examine part and trim any excess foam from the part to determine necessary repairs
• Complete inspection of part
• Repairs parts from inspection deemed necessary, second inspection is completed
• Boxes are built, parts are sorted, counted, packed, labeled and scanned for shipment
