Production Operator- 2nd shift
About The Position
Nesco Resource is sourcing a Production Operator for its client in Clinton Township, Michigan. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity on the second shift, Monday through Friday, from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The pay rate is $15.50 per hour, with overtime based on production needs. The Production Operator performs tasks involved in packaging literature kits in a team environment. The role requires collaboration and adherence to company values. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to perform basic math.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Responsibilities
- Read work orders and perform work as directed by the department supervisor.
- Assemble and package owner's literature kits by placing the correct components in the correct sequence into the package indicated by the work order.
- Attach the correct labels to kits, totes, boxes, and pallets.
- Pack finished kits into the correct boxes, totes, and/or pallets.
- Track production on schedule boards.
- Notify the supervisor of quality or mechanical issues.
- Follow standard work methods and practice safe work habits to ensure production is safe, accurate, and efficient.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
