About The Position

This role is for a Production Operator Upgrade Team Lead on the 2nd shift. The position involves preparing the production floor, monitoring production, reviewing processes for accuracy and quality, training team members, and identifying improvement suggestions. The Team Lead will communicate effectively with associates, supervisors, and stakeholders, assist with material handling, and meet area Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics. They will also assist in training and providing feedback on performance, maintain a clean and safe work area according to 6S standards, and may plan daily schedules and staffing. The role is responsible for identifying and implementing improvement ideas, resolving conflicts, and coaching on policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED.
  • Must be able to lift 45 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to create a positive teamwork atmosphere through work ethics and habits.
  • Ability to coach and develop production associates when needed.
  • Conflict management and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of computers and programs (SAP, Microsoft Office).
  • Associates can have no written disciplinary warnings within six (6) months of posting date.
  • Associates cannot have less than 17 hours of UTO.
  • Associates must be able to work 8+ hours per day and 40+ hours per week.
  • Must have a resume on file with HR.

Nice To Haves

  • Interested temporary associates can bid and will have the opportunity to become permanent based on their performance but will only be considered if the roles are not filled by a current Moen associate.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares the production floor for daily production.
  • Monitors hourly/daily production.
  • Reviews production processes for accuracy and quality requirements.
  • Trains and maintains training of team members in processes.
  • Monitors team members or production machines for improvement suggestions.
  • Communicates with associates, supervisors, and other key business stakeholders effectively, including start of shift meetings and shift turnover communication (e.g., reports/emails).
  • Assists with material loading and unloading as necessary from PIT equipment.
  • May be required to stock lines as needed.
  • Assists production operators as necessary.
  • Meets area KPI metrics as assigned by area.
  • Assists in training associates as needed and offers feedback on performance issues.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area through 6S standards.
  • May plan and organize the execution of daily schedule and staffing needs.
  • Responsible for identifying and implementing improvement ideas in work area.
  • Works through conflicts efficiently.
  • Coaches and addresses policies and procedures.
