About The Position

The Production Operator (Quality Tester) role is responsible for performing various quality testing tasks in a factory environment within a plant quality lab. This role requires adherence to all safety and housekeeping requirements, the ability to learn testing duties through instruction and self-study, and the capacity to recognize and respond to test trends. The position involves recording quality data, taking an active role in safety and continuous improvement initiatives, and adapting to scheduling requirements including shiftwork, overtime, and weekend work.

Requirements

• Able to work in a manufacturing lab setting in a safe manner and follow all plant safety and housekeeping rules.
• Ability to learn to operate and troubleshoot lab testing equipment.
• Ability to interpret verbal and written work instructions.
• Ability to apply basic computer skills required for data entry and reporting.
• Possess ability to become proficient at performing tests and taking measurements as needed to verify product is within specifications.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills needed with all co-workers.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

• Expected to take an active role in all plant safety and continuous improvement initiatives as required by supervision.
• Adaptable to scheduling requirements including shiftwork, assignment of overtime, working weekends, etc. where applicable.
