About The Position

USG is seeking a Forklift Operator for their Port Reading location. This role is responsible for safely operating a forklift to load and unload materials, recording shipping data, and participating in plant safety and improvement initiatives. Requirements

Prior experience as a forklift driver is required.
Able to safely operate a forklift in a manufacturing setting.
Ability to inspect and troubleshoot the forklift to detect issues and maximize operational availability.
Ability to interpret verbal instructions and written documents such as customer orders.
Basic computer skills required for data entry and reporting.
Proficiency in accurately recording shipping data.
Effective teamwork and communication skills with all co-workers.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

Adhere to all safety and housekeeping requirements within a plant warehouse setting.
Utilize a forklift to efficiently load and unload finished products and raw materials to/from trucks, and from the production line.
Record shipping data and other results as required.
Actively participate in all plant safety and continuous improvement initiatives as required by supervision.
Adapt to scheduling requirements, including shift work, overtime, and working weekends as needed.
