Production Operator Lead
About The Position
The Production Operator Lead is responsible for enforcing safety, quality, and sanitation regulations. This role involves directing and coordinating the activities of associates engaged in the production or processing of goods, including fill lines, mixers, storage locations, and forklifts. The lead will read and analyze various production-related documents to determine requirements and evaluate outputs. They will also confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations, plan work schedules, and establish assignments to meet production goals. Inspecting materials, products, or equipment for defects and demonstrating equipment operations and safety procedures are key aspects of this role. The lead will monitor work to ensure adherence to production standards and address worker issues. Additionally, they are expected to maintain attendance and punctuality, learn all departmental tasks, perform assigned tasks following specific procedures and quality control processes, and treat everyone with dignity and respect while conducting business with integrity.

Responsibilities
- Enforce safety, quality, and sanitation regulations.
- Direct and coordinate the activities of associates engaged in the production or processing of goods.
- Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
- Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
- Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
- Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
- Demonstrate equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new associates or assign associates to experienced workers for training.
- Observe work and monitor all indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.
- Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances.
- Adhere to Quality standard and audit batch paperwork hourly.
- Communicate with Supervisors, peers, or subordinates: provide information to supervisors and co-workers in written form or in person.
- Maintain a good record of attendance and punctuality.
- Learn all tasks performed within the department.
- Perform tasks assigned using specific operating procedures and following department specific quality control processes and procedures.
- Treat people with dignity and respect.
- Conduct all business with integrity.
