Production Operator I, Armtec Defense Technologies Armtec Defense Technologies (Armtec) is an operating unit of the TransDigm Group (NYSE: TDG), an industry leader in aerospace and defense products and services. Armtec is comprised of three business units producing subcomponents for ordnance in Coachella, CA; decoy countermeasure flares in Camden AR; and radar countermeasure chaff in Lillington NC. Industry: Manufacturing Combustible Ordnance and Countermeasures Job Overview Title: Production Operator I Job Family: Manufacturing Operations Reports to: Production Supervisor Works with: mid-level managers and supervisors, employees Location: Coachella, California Type: Full-Time Job Summary Position requires a team player with basic knowledge of various processes, operations, and machines. Production Operator I will be responsible for: Felting/molding, stamping, sanding and deflashing. A variety of basic skills are required to fill in this position, as well as a positive attitude and willingness to succeed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
To conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.
Must have the ability to learn basic machine operations.
Ability to read and comprehend written MSPI instructions in English.
Must have basic math skills.
Must have the ability to learn and apply SPC applications.
Must be flexible to work various work schedules and shifts.
Special training in Visual Standards.
Must be dependable, responsible, and accurate and have the ability to deal with people effectively.
Demonstrate ability in the Armtec competencies as an employee: customer focus, ethics and values, problem solving, integrity and trust, functional/technical skills, listening, action-oriented, composure and values diversity.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

Operates felting, molding, sanding and deflashing
Must be able to identify components by batch number and provide acceptable workmanship.
Must be able to learn and apply SPC applications, basic problem solving, and basic corrective action.
Must possess good hand and eye coordination/manual dexterity.
Must be able to have a high degree of concentration for an extended period of time.
Ability to adhere to all work instructions per applicable MSPI’s and safety/environmental procedures.
Position may require standing or sitting for extended periods of time.
Occasional lifting of 45 lbs.
Good visual inspection and usage of measurement tools.
Position requires employees to be cross-trained or transfer to other buildings/programs by incorporating into a team environment as requested.
Maintain the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above.
Understand and live by Armtec’s ethics and business conduct policies.
