We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Operator to work as an Extractor Operator. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Extractor Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently extracting modules while maintaining a consistent flow of production. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing environment; prior machine operation experience preferred
  • Overhead Crane Certification is required (crane extraction)
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate computers, equipment, and tools.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and occasional kneeling or crouching, as required.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and work safely in the assigned work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate full knowledge of extractor operations, including use of the HMI operator panel
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper upkeep of the extractor pit area
  • Safely and accurately extract modules using the overhead crane
  • Execute air procedures to manually remove mandrels from modules
  • Monitor walking beams to ensure proper movement and successful mandrel transfer
  • Report all equipment-related issues promptly to the Production Supervisor
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels of materials required to perform job duties
  • Support the training and cross-training of production team members
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Comply with all safety procedures and PPE requirements by maintaining a clean, safe work environment and adhering to all company policies, as well as Provincial and Federal regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
