Requirements

  • Must have strong decision making and communication skills.
  • Ability to utilize/exercise good judgment, and ensure issues are quickly resolved and communicated with supervision.
  • Fill out communication boards daily.
  • Full understanding and adherence to the strictest compliance standards, in relation to HACCP, CTS, SOP, Safety, GMP, and JSA procedure and standards related to this position.
  • Focused awareness and prevention of contamination/potential contamination, allergen control, and lot code traceability are key objectives in this role.
  • Must abide to exact formula specifications and procedures, to ensure bread quality standards are maintained and label contents are aligned.
  • Maintains work area to "5S" cleanliness, housekeeping and organizational standard.
  • Two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Stand for extended periods of time.
  • Use hands, fingers and arms to reach, feel product and manipulate materials and equipment.
  • Walk, stoop, climb, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear.
  • Ability to use senses to diagnose and troubleshoot problems.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and push/pull heavy loads on wheeled dollies.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must stay on the job one year.

  • May be assigned to any of the following makeup and packaging positions on any line (see Supervisor for specific job descriptions): Makeup helper, Break Lunch Relief, Moulder Operator, Divider Operator, Oven Operator, Lidder, Pan Operator/Pan Area, Slicer/Feeder, Bagger, Caser, or Packaging helper.
  • May be assigned to any of the packaging lines.
  • Must understand code board.
  • This position may require overtime as deemed necessary to support operations activities.

Responsibilities

  • Operates, sets up and adjusts Moulder, observing proper moulding of dough resulting in quality product.
  • Lifts and reaches up to 10 lbs. to fill flour sifter on moulders.
  • Lifts up to 15 lbs. for pans of dough.
  • Keeps conveyors scraped and unjams pans.
  • Understands and follows set HACCP/CTS/GMP/JSA standards.
  • Assists other Line 3 positions during operation and performs other duties as requested.
  • Places pans weighing approx. 6 ½ lbs. on feed conveyor; removes pans from conveyor at downtime & at end of shift.
  • Stacks pans on pan trucks; moves pan trucks weighing up to 1500 lbs. approx. 30 ft. at the beginning and end of shift.
  • May be assigned to any of the makeup and packaging positions on any line (Makeup helper, Break Lunch Relief, Moulder Operator, Divider Operator, Oven Operator, Lidder, Pan Operator/Pan Area, Slicer/Feeder, Bagger, Caser, or Packaging helper).
  • Racks products as needed, monitors bags and checks for quality of product and packaging materials.
  • Maintains specific product weights at the divider.
  • Sets up the oven and proofer per product centerlining and CTS.
  • May lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Operates the bagger and kwik-lok machines, cases product into baskets or cases keeping up with the line speed.
  • Monitors bags and codes for clarity and correctness.
  • Checks for quality, proper wrap and bagging.
  • Feeds product into slicer or bagger flites.
  • Racks and unracks bread as needed.
  • Complies with all safety regulations, supports plant safety initiatives, proper operating procedures and utilizes prescribed safety equipment such as safety eyeglasses, safety shields, gloves, earplugs, respirators, and approved footwear.
  • Deals with a changing work environment and high-pressure situations.
  • Works in a team environment.
