About The Position

Airgas is hiring a Production Operator 3 in Pueblo, Colorado. The role fills high-pressure industrial, medical, and gas-mix cylinders using the compression temperature/pressure method. The operator safely operates and maintains gas-pumping and repackaging equipment, completes required cylinder inspections and tests, and ensures cylinders needing maintenance or repair are removed from service until corrected. The position also involves maintaining filling records and following procedures to comply with applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Additional duties include helping load and unload trucks or trailers, assisting with inventory and general housekeeping, and helping customers when necessary. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Overtime may be required. The hourly base pay range in Colorado is $24.50–$25.00. Candidates must have valid U.S. employment authorization and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Requirements

Ability to stand for prolonged periods, up to 8 hours.
Ability to frequently bend, stoop, crouch, reach, grasp, feel, and perform repetitive motions.
Ability to perform very heavy work, routinely lifting 25–75 lbs. and occasionally lifting 76 to more than 100 lbs.
Ability to read and comprehend written and computer-generated documents.
Must be able to work overtime as needed.
Must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Fill high-pressure industrial, medical, and gas-mix cylinders using the compression temperature/pressure method.
Operate and safely maintain equipment used to pump or repackage gases into cylinders.
Perform required pre-fill and post-fill inspections and tests before releasing cylinders.
Remove cylinders requiring maintenance or repair from service until corrected.
Regularly inspect and maintain pumping apparatus, pressure gauges, and monitoring devices.
Fill cylinders or containers to the appropriate pressure or weight.
Accurately maintain cylinder-filling records and follow procedures to comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Assist with loading and unloading trucks or trailers when required.
Assist with inventory and general housekeeping.
Help customers when necessary.
