About The Position

Sea-Bird Scientific, a Veralto company, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Operations Technician II to join their manufacturing team. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining production equipment in a continuous processing environment while ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate brings strong technical capability, troubleshooting skills, and experience working with both mechanical and electronic assemblies. This role reports to the Production Supervisor, Manufacturing & Operations. This is an onsite, day shift role and will be part of the Sea-Bird Scientific Manufacturing & Operations Team in their Bellevue, WA location. This position is ideal for a technically capable professional who thrives in a hands-on production setting and is committed to operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years of related work experience

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Experience with machine setup, calibration, and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with continuous production processes and quality control standards.
  • Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing environment.
  • Monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and other control systems to ensure compliance with production and process specifications.
  • Follow engineering drawings, work orders, Manufacturing Assembly Procedures (MAPs), SOPs, and written and verbal instructions throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Install, modify, move, troubleshoot, repair, and dismantle machinery and equipment according to established documentation, layout plans, and blueprints.
  • Perform setup, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Assemble mechanical units, fabricated parts, electrical/electronic systems, and subassemblies using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and related equipment.
  • Support machine operation, process operations, product assembly, and general production technician activities as required.
  • Maintain accurate production documentation and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
