The Production & Operational Excellence Manager is responsible for leading all injection molding manufacturing operations while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives across the facility. This role ensures safe, efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective production performance while achieving customer delivery requirements and business objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or equivalent experience
- 7-10+ years of injection molding manufacturing experience
- 3-5+ years of leadership or management experience
- Proven success leading Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Operational Excellence programs
- Strong knowledge of injection molding processes, tooling, materials, automation systems, and high-volume manufacturing environments
- Bilingual English/Spanish (written and verbal)

- PMP Certification
- Scientific Molding Certification
Responsibilities
- Managing daily production activities
- Optimizing resources
- Improving key manufacturing KPIs (OEE, productivity, scrap, downtime, labor efficiency, and on-time delivery)
- Coordinating cross-functional teams including Planning, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Tooling, Materials, and Supply Chain
- Serving as a champion of Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence, leading initiatives such as Kaizen, 5S, SMED, Value Stream Mapping, Visual Management, and Six Sigma methodologies to improve productivity, reduce waste, lower costs, and enhance quality and operational performance
- Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and GMP standards
- Supporting customer satisfaction through root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Developing and mentoring production teams
- Managing departmental budgets and resources
- Driving strategic projects that support operational excellence, automation, digital transformation, and sustainable business growth
