About The Position

This position is reserved for employees that are dedicated to stepping up from an entry level position on the manufacturing floor. Qualified candidates must be able to perform a variety of jobs, tasks, or duties as required; and must be able to work any shift, overtime, and weekends as required. Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Mix Operator to join our Production team in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating computerized mixing systems, ensuring the accurate formulation of recipes, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and following all quality and safety standards including GMP, HACCP, and allergen handling protocols. Qualified candidates must be able to perform a variety of jobs, tasks, or duties as required; and must be able to work any shift, daily overtime, and weekends as required.

Requirements

  • Basic math skills with the ability to perform and apply mathematical reasoning.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Certified Forklift Operator. (To be completed on the job )
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
  • Electrical 2 Training. (To be completed on the job)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, stand for long periods, and handle materials as needed.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent - REQUIRED & VERIFIED
  • Previous relevant experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge - data entry
  • This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, bend, kneel, stand for extended periods, work in confined spaces, and work at heights.

Responsibilities

  • Operate computerized mixing equipment to prepare and process recipes according to production schedules.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas using Centralized Foaming Systems and CIP (Clean-in-Place) processes.
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and PPE requirements.
  • Accurately document production activities, including batch records, ingredient usage, and cleaning logs.
  • Safely handle ingredients including allergens, ensuring proper storage, usage, and segregation protocols.
  • Take production samples and perform basic laboratory tests to ensure product quality.
  • Troubleshoot machinery and mixing processes to minimize downtime and maintain product standards.
  • Operate and maintain waste water treatment systems in compliance with environmental and safety guidelines.
  • Execute and monitor computer-based commands for production systems.
  • Identify correct formulations and ensure full execution of recipes with accuracy.
  • Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport ingredients and materials.
  • Follow all established quality control protocols and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
