About The Position

Cargill is hiring a full-time Production Miner in its protein and salt business. The role involves operating, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing related equipment; performing quality checks; interpreting data; and recording data manually and by computer. Employees must follow safety requirements and good manufacturing practices. The work may take place underground up to 1,800 feet and in varied indoor and outdoor conditions. The available shift is second shift. Compensation is $31.04 per hour, with an increase after 90 days of work. Overtime, holidays, nights, weekends, and different shifts may be required with advance notice. Relocation reimbursement is not included.

Requirements

• Have the right to work in the United States, not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.
• Be at least 18 years old to work in a production facility.
• Understand and communicate in English, verbally and in writing.
• Have a high school degree or GED equivalent.
• Have basic computer skills.
• Be able and willing, with or without reasonable accommodation, to work underground up to 1,800 feet, including bending, kneeling, climbing, crawling, twisting, and lifting at least 50 pounds.
• Be able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment.
• Be able to work overtime, holidays, nights, weekends, and different shifts with advance notice.
• Be able to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions, including underground areas, heat, cold, dust, and loud noise, using personal protective equipment (PPE), which may include a harness.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in production-related work.
• Previous mining experience.
