About The Position

The Production Material Handler is responsible for managing and organizing materials within the production and warehouse areas. This role involves labeling and storing materials, coordinating transfers, understanding inventory control and warehouse functions, and implementing lean practices. The position requires physical capability to lift materials and a willingness to learn new tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to lift 25-50lbs, regularly
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift Certification preferred (ability to re-certify with employer)
• Valid driver’s license preferred

Responsibilities

• Labels and stores all materials in correct storage areas
• Coordinates activities of transferring materials
• Understands inventory control principals
• Has knowledge of warehouse functions (inventory, receiving, staging, and prepping)
• Understands and implements lean practices and demand flow strategies
• Has strong math skills
• Demonstrates a willingness to learn new tasks
• Removes trash from production area and places in dumpster
• Locates items strategically to reduce wasted motion and maximize space utilization
