About The Position

Performs work as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility. Responsible for the safe, expeditious, and accurate handling of merchandise into and/or out of the laundry facility. The role involves operating a mat rolling machine, manually rolling mats on an inverted table, or stacking mats on a pallet. The operator monitors for quality, verifies mats by size, color, and type, and places them on the correct storage shelves. This position also involves maneuvering carts and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Requirements

• Ability to understand all required training, written, and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math skills.
• Good verbal and/or written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule.
• Requires bending, reaching, pulling, twisting, and lifting.
• Requires the use of hands for grasping and other manipulations.
• Requires standing and walking for long periods of time.
• Requires ability to push carts weighing approximately 300 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Performing a mat rolling by machine, by hand on inverted table, or stacking on pallet.
• Stages cage of mats near table or into lift table if using mat rolling machine.
• Places mat rubber side up to manually roll mat, or steps on foot pedal to roll using machine.
• Monitors for quality while rolling and identifies and segregates mats that do not meet quality requirements in terms of stains, gum stains, rips, tears, holes, or if wet.
• Accurately verifies mat by size, color, and type, and places mats on correct storage shelves.
• Maneuvers full and empty carts.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment, and observes best practices in all production activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
