About The Position

Performs work as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility. Responsible for the safe, expeditious, and accurate handling of merchandise into and/or out of the laundry facility. This role involves operating a mat rolling machine, manually rolling mats on an inverted table, or stacking mats on a pallet. The operator stages cages of mats, monitors for quality, verifies mats by size, color, and type, and places them on correct storage shelves. The position also includes maneuvering full and empty carts and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Requirements

• Ability to understand all required training, written, and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math skills.
• Good verbal and/or written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule.
• Requires bending, reaching, pulling, twisting, and lifting.
• Requires the use of hands for grasping and other manipulations.
• Requires standing and walking for long periods of time.
• Requires ability to push carts weighing approximately 300 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performing a mat rolling by machine, by hand on inverted table, or stacking on pallet.
• Staging cage of mats near table or into lift table if using mat rolling machine.
• Placing mat rubber side up to manually roll mat, or stepping on foot pedal to roll using machine.
• Monitoring for quality while rolling and identifying and segregating mats that do not meet quality requirements in terms of stains, gum stains, rips, tears, holes, or if wet.
• Accurately verifying mat by size, color, and type, and placing mats on correct storage shelves.
• Maneuvering full and empty carts.
• Maintaining safe and clean work environment, and observing best practices in all production activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
