  • Possess heavy manufacturing/supervisory experience (non-degreed professional candidates) and 6+ years or more of leadership experience.
  • Work is active in nature, with frequent walking of manufacturing plants, warehouses, and distribution.
  • Demonstrates independent problem-solving by applying Lean tools (5 Whys, Kaizen, standard work, and visual management) to identify root causes, eliminate waste, and drive continuous improvement.
  • High degree of risk management in terms of safety around large and complex machinery, as well as heavy (up to 200lb) product while in production.

Responsibilities

  • Lead production team to ensure product is produced safely, with quality, on time, and within budgeted costs.
  • Drives and supports LEAN methodologies and problem solving to ensure continuous improvement of performance.
  • Proven ability to identify and develop talent and next level leaders.
  • Delivers outstanding KPI Results.
  • Ensures proper staffing levels, training and skills matrix development.
  • Leads root cause analysis and standard work audits to drive metric gap closures
  • Addresses defects, rework, scrap and systemic quality processes
  • Directly manage and develop a group of Supervisors to deliver outstanding results.
  • Coordinate with office staff to provide information on delivery schedule and product status.
  • Maintain information for daily management reports and prepare various other reports as requested.
  • Ensure the cost effectiveness of the production process.
  • Controls use of raw materials, preventing all unnecessary waste and schedules and controls utilization of labor, preventing excess hours, downtime and overtime.
