About The Position

The Production Manager will be responsible for driving a safety-first culture, leading daily operations across Fabrication, Coating, and Assembly teams, and managing the team, facility, and assets to meet production goals. This role ensures efficient manufacture of product to standard times with minimal downtime and rework, while identifying opportunities for process improvement. The Production Manager will also manage quality, uptime, and flow through effective training, process controls, and QC checks, instilling team pride and ensuring consistent product quality. Additionally, the role involves actively resolving production issues to meet targets, creating a world-class production facility, and managing system processes and documentation for timely processing, accurate costing, and inventory management.

Requirements

3+ years in a production leadership role (manufacturing or similar).
Experience in mild steel fabrication and mechanical assembly, or similar fields.
Demonstrated leadership in safety, quality, and team performance.
Knowledgeable in lean manufacturing principles.
Capable with ERP systems and data.
Ability to carry out tasks in the facility - including lifting, maneuvering equipment and parts from time to time.

Ensure efficient manufacture of product to standard times with minimal downtime and rework.
Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes.
Manage quality, uptime, and flow across all production areas through effective training, process controls and QC checks.
Ensure products are manufactured consistently and to specification.
Empower team members to highlight quality issues, prevent them moving through the process and to help find the root cause.
Actively identify production issues and resolve these to achieve production targets.
Create a world class production facility that identifies opportunities, addresses risks and implements countermeasures.
Manage system processes and documentation to ensure timely processing.
Ensure product is correctly costed and inventory is accounted for in a timely manner.
Ensure quality documentation is stored correctly for future reference.
