About The Position

The Production Manager directs, coordinates, and manages production activities at a food manufacturing plant. The position provides leadership, coaching, and development for the Supervisor team and production personnel; plans work schedules and assignments to meet production goals; and monitors production tracking and quality control systems. The role is also responsible for maintaining food safety standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and sanitation and hygiene protocols, and for supporting food safety audits and corrective actions.

Requirements

5–10 years of manufacturing experience in the food industry.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic PC skills.
Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets.

Nice To Haves

Some college.
English/Spanish bilingual ability.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership, coaching, and development for Supervisor team members.
Plan and establish work schedules and assignments to meet production goals.
Hire, train, and evaluate production personnel.
Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.
Monitor production tracking and quality control systems.
Review operations and confer with administrative staff to resolve procedural problems.
Provide leadership to meet company safety guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices.
Monitor production processes for adherence to food safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Verify that production personnel follow sanitation and hygiene protocols.
Promptly report and escalate food safety concerns or deviations to the Plant Manager and Quality Assurance.
Support food safety audits and help implement corrective actions.
Train and coach team members on food safety procedures and regulatory compliance.
Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
