About The Position

This position is responsible for managing the Cast stretch film production and projects in a cost effective and safe manner that will maximize plant production Output & Yields. This position demands a strong background in plastic manufacturing, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and leadership skills.

Requirements

• 8-10 years’ experience working in a manufacturing / production environment
• 3-5 years supervisory experience
• Strong background in production operations
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, OSHA).
• Consistent, dependable attendance and a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
• Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
• Must have regular, reliable attendance and willing to work outside the regular schedule as required.
• Willing to handle job stress and interact with others in the workplace.
• Available for On-call as operational issues arise after work hours.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Plastic Manufacturing
• Familiarity with injection molding, extrusion, or blow molding processes.
• Project management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supporting and following Safety Rules and Regulations
• Supervising and managing day-day Production Department functions to support manufacturing of cast stretch film.
• Reviewing and tracking key KPI’s to meet Plant & Corporate goals including monthly production and equipment performance reports.
• Developing training manuals for production department.
• Managing production personnel shift schedules, in approving timesheets, overtime & performance reviews.
• Monitoring daily production output, scrap & machine issues and coordinating with scheduling on the orders and product changeovers.
• Coordinating production activities with maintenance, plant office, and Shipping.
• Monitoring incoming raw material and packaging along with material consumption to ensure material inventory accuracy.
• Preparing monthly production performance reports and presenting to the upper management.
• Ensuring product quality is consistent across all shifts and performing plant investigation & implementing corrective action to reduce customer returns.
• Troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Assisting in managing and implementing capital expansion or improvement projects.
• Assisting in conducting engineering evaluations of contractors and vendors in regard to maintenance support.
• Maintaining needed production & safety supplies.
• Ensuring production personnel / extrusion technicians are properly trained.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product specifications are met.
• Assisting in overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
• Developing and maintaining technical documentation & training material, including SOCs, reports, and operating manuals.
• Supporting the implementation of new technologies into product specification applications.
• Maintaining good housekeeping and 5S followed.
• Coordinating with Scheduling and Maintenance department for scheduled P.M. and major repairs.
• Analyzing product failure data in order to determine causes of problems and developing solutions.
• Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production output / efficiency and product quality.
• Assisting in reviewing and coordinating completion of work bid from contractors.
• Other duties as assigned by Plant Manager.
