About The Position

O-I is a global leader in glass container manufacturing, providing sustainable packaging solutions for food and beverage brands. The Muskogee plant offers a small-town environment with proximity to outdoor recreational activities. The Production Manager is responsible for providing top-tier in-plant technical services in areas such as Forming, Job Change, Mold Repair, Machine Repair, Refiners, and Forehearths. This role involves applying lean six sigma principles to drive technical and continuous improvement, aiming for high quality and efficient production outcomes. The Production Manager will manage department leaders, provide technical and financial oversight, collaborate with production teams to achieve safety and quality goals, ensure adherence to Manufacturing Fundamentals, and manage major projects.

Requirements

Experience supervising and training employees and managing cross-functional teams
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
Be able to support job changes and improvement initiatives
Project management skills
Ability to operate and train others on glass forming machines
Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent years of experience
Previous glass industry experience, specifically in glass forming
Previous experience supervising/leading people and processes in a manufacturing environment
Demonstrated leadership abilities and strong interpersonal skills at all levels of the organization.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in job change and machine repair is preferred

Responsibilities
