About The Position

The Production Manager oversees all aspects of the production process, from planning and coordination to execution and delivery. This includes managing and developing personnel, resources, timelines, and quality control. The goal is to ensure products are manufactured safely, on time, within budget, and to the required specifications.

Requirements

Proven experience in a production management/engineering role.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Knowledge of production planning software and systems(e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
Strong communication/presentation skills, both verbal and written.
Familiarity with quality control processes and regulatory standards.
Ability to apply good judgement, strong work ethics and integrity on the job.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage stress in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
Familiarity with ISO standards.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the production area.
Conduct safety audits and ensure staff are properly trained on safety procedures.
Monitor production processes to ensure that product standards, safety regulations, and quality standards are met.
Implement and oversee quality control systems and address any deviations from standards.
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental laws and company policies.
Implement production schedules to meet company goals and customer deadlines.
Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and quality.
Coordinate with other departments (e.g., scheduling, fabrication, quality control, and materials) to ensure smooth workflow.
Ensure that production resources are available and that any shortages are addressed promptly.
Work within the allocated production budget and ensure cost-efficiency in operations.
Monitor expenses and make recommendations for reducing production related costs.
Supervise and lead the production team, including operators, team leaders.
Train, mentor, and evaluate direct report performance.
Manage shift schedules and allocate tasks to meet production targets.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve production-related issues and inefficiencies.
Support/leading new technologies or processes to improve SQDC (safety, quality, delivery and cost) that improves production capacity and reduce costs.
Prepare and submit regular production reports to senior management.
Maintain records of production schedules, performance data, and quality control results.
