About The Position

Arcosa Wind Towers is seeking a Production Manager. As the Production Manager, you will support a positive safety culture by planning and directing production activities and staff, you will lead the team in the manufacturing process to ensure quality and timely production.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
5 years of progressive experience in a key leadership/management role
3-year knowledge of welding, assembly or paint preferred
Read, write and speak proficiently in English
Have a working knowledge of the principles and applications associated with manufacturing operations, maintenance and engineering and budgeting/expense management strongly preferred
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Experience with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Be aware of and observe all safety practices.
Know and follow all safety rules and procedures.
Participate in safety committees and initiatives as assigned.

Responsibilities

Ensures that safety, health, and environmental legal and company standards are complied with, emphasizing safety as a top priority
Monitors overall plant performance for production and quality standards by developing and reviewing reports and metrics
Coordinates plant activities through planning with departmental managers to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner
Develops systems and sets performance targets and measures that appropriately assess the performance of the plant and direct reports, and reviews progress to ensure achievement of targets
Train, instruct and direct work activities of employees; identify succession role requirements and high potential talent, and actively trains key talent
Monitors schedule to accomplish manufacturing goals
Demonstrate and model the highest ethical standards and treat all employees and coworkers with dignity and respect. Foster a culture that is positive and engaging for all employees
Exercises independent judgment
Fill-in as needed so that production goals can be met
