About The Position

This role is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the production department. The Production Manager will prioritize and prepare production schedules, communicate production goals, and analyze equipment efficiency, material supply, and manpower requirements. Maintaining quality control of the product and managing, training, and supervising department supervisors, shift leads, and production personnel are key aspects of this position. The role also involves collecting and reporting production data, managing personnel schedules, tracking vacations and attendance, and acquiring/reporting environmental data. Creating and maintaining production and inventory reports, overseeing corrective action policies, employee evaluations, and training schedules, and recruiting/evaluating potential employees are also part of the responsibilities. Additionally, the Production Manager will oversee inventory tracking for parts, equipment, and expendables, ensure appropriate levels for efficient operation, and implement quality control SOPs and the PFI Standards Program. This role is also responsible for the safe operation of the facility and coordinating the Lignetics Safety Program, including all reporting requirements.

Requirements

3-5 years of related supervisory experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Must have a “roll up your sleeves” approach, be highly analytical and forward thinking.
Requires resourcefulness, strategic thinking, and exceptional leadership and motivational skills.
Requires a medium degree of technical and analytical skills.
Requires the ability to do simple to complex math calculations.
Must be able to work in a high temperature/ humidity area.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint
Ability to generate Standard Operating Procedures
Ability to work unsupervised
Must be flexible - some nights & weekends can be required
Must be willing to be on call 24/7
Ability to pass a background & drug screening

Responsibilities

Plan, direct, and coordinate the production department.
Prioritize and prepare production schedules and communicate production goals to the appropriate departments.
Analyze equipment efficiency, materials supply and coordinate manpower requirements.
Maintain quality control of product.
Properly manage, train and supervise department supervisors, shift leads and production personnel.
Collection/verification/reporting of daily/weekly/monthly production data.
Production/Indirect personnel scheduling as directed by the Plant Manager.
Vacation/attendance tracking/reporting with Ops. Coordinator.
Daily/weekly/monthly environmental data acquisition/reporting. (Water/air quality)
Create, maintain, and accurately convey production and inventory reports to appropriate members of management and sales department on an ongoing basis.
Oversee corrective action policies and procedures, employee performance evaluations, and training schedules as needed.
Recruit/evaluate potential employees.
Maintain plant wide parts/equipment/expendables inventory tracking.
Ensure appropriate levels are maintained to allow efficient operation of the facility.
Oversee the implementation of all quality control SOP policies/procedures including the PFI Standards Program.
Responsible for the safe operation of the facility while coordinating the Lignetics Safety Program at the plant level. Includes all reporting requirements both for Lignetics and as required by OSHA or state and federal regulations.
