About The Position

This is a unique opportunity to play a key leadership role in shaping the future of our operation while making a lasting impact on people, performance, and culture. We’re looking for a Production Manager to join our High Prairie OSB Division, located in High Prairie, Alberta. Our mill has undergone an exciting major rebuild and modernization including the commissioning of a new continuous press making us one of the most modern mills in North America.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 diploma; post-secondary education in Engineering, Wood Sciences, Manufacturing, or a related field is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety leadership and safe work practices.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop teams.
  • Strong organizational, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • 3-5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably within wood products or a heavy industrial environment.
  • Experience leading teams in a production setting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Nice To Haves

  • Continuous manufacturing and continuous press experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop frontline teams to achieve operational excellence.
  • Champion a strong safety culture through visible leadership and accountability.
  • Drive production performance, productivity, recovery, and quality results.
  • Collaborate across operations, maintenance, and leadership teams to solve challenges and improve processes.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and resources to meet production targets and budgets.
  • Identify operational, maintenance, and safety improvement opportunities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational modernization efforts.
