About The Position

The Production Manager coordinates production processes and activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control to optimize production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment. This role ensures the quality of products and services for both internal and external customers, with a focus on continuous improvement. The Production Manager is responsible for maintaining equipment and facilities, communicating company goals to various departments (Molding, Extrusion, Tool Room, Mold Storage, Maintenance, P&A, and Blending), and relaying employee needs to upper management. Key responsibilities include optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring products meet customer specifications, and accurately and timely communicating production reports to the Operations Manager. The role also involves managing inventories of raw materials and finished products, ensuring accurate production data is entered into the SAP system, and promoting adherence to Safety, Health, and Environmental policies, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OSHAS 18001 certification requirements. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to train staff.
Understanding of manufacturing and production in the industry.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, including ERP Systems such as SAP.
Good understanding of Finance, including income statements, balance sheets, budgets and planning.
Must be able to multi-task.
High School Department required.
Five (5) years manufacturing experience, preferably in an integrated manufacturing environment preferred.
Five (5) years supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinates production processes and activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
Ensures the quality of products and services to internal and external customers while consistently seeking continuous improvement.
Ensures equipment and facilities are maintained.
Communicates the goals and objectives of the company to Molding, Extrusion, Tool Room, Mold Storage, Maintenance, P&A and Blending personnel and the wants and needs of employees to upper management.
Ensures manufacturing processes are optimized, and products are manufactured to customer specifications.
Ensures all production reports are accurate and timely communicated to the Operations Manager.
Maintains control of all inventories within the manufacturing processes, including both raw material and finished products inventory.
Ensures accurate production data is input into the SAP system.
Follows and promotes employee adherence to all appropriate Safety, Health and Environmental policies, practices and procedures, including compliance to and adherence of ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and OSHAS 18001 certification requirements.
