About The Position

The Production Manager is responsible for leading production performance across a three-shift manufacturing operation. This role develops and implements processes, controls, and continuous improvement initiatives that support safety, quality, delivery performance, productivity, and inventory management. The Production Manager works closely with operations, sales, engineering, customer service, and other functional teams while developing supervisors, team leaders, and production personnel to achieve operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Toyota Production System (TPS), Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and functions.
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to respond effectively to internal and external customer needs.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a demonstrated sense of urgency and ownership.
  • Ability to adapt and perform effectively in rapidly changing environments.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Sciences, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all production activities within the value stream across a three-shift operation.
  • Implement safety improvements identified through incident and near-miss reporting programs.
  • Develop, audit, and coach Supervisors and Team Leaders on leader standard work.
  • Coordinate activities of supervisors, team leaders, maintenance personnel, and production employees while supporting their professional development.
  • Serve as a member of the production scheduling team.
  • Collaborate with customer service and customers to address delivery and quality concerns.
  • Assist leadership in the development, implementation, and enforcement of company policies.
  • Support and drive lean manufacturing and Business System initiatives.
  • Develop, implement, and sustain continuous improvement programs within production operations.
  • Contribute to monthly business planning activities and the annual budgeting process.
  • Ensure compliance with quality management systems and ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Partner with accounting, administration, sales, engineering, and management teams to support business performance objectives.
  • Support and coordinate corporate and business unit initiatives as required.
