Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Production Manager is responsible for the overall shift production, PPOH, Quality, Customer Relations, Housekeeping, Security, Safety, and maintaining and developing the workforce. This role involves fiscal management of costs and expenses in the operation of the shift, direct cost control, and knowledge of contracts when dealing with vendors. The Production Manager oversees the daily monitoring of payroll and labor costs, assuring the cost-effective operation of the plant while maintaining a safe work environment. They act as a direct liaison with the Engineering manager to assure the safe operation and upkeep of all production equipment and are responsible for plant safety and overseeing regulatory compliance. This role also involves training new hires and employees, assisting customers with emergencies, understanding production costing and laundry design, and preparing the annual budget. Performance reviews, disciplinary procedures, and workforce development are key aspects of this position.
