Plans and directs all activities for the Manufacturing Departments in the plant. This role provides leadership and manages the entire Manufacturing Department, including continuous improvement activities focused on man, method, machine, and material, with principles of TPS (Bekido, Chokko, and Yarijimai) at the forefront. The position ensures uniformity across production value streams regarding manpower layout, organization layout, improvement efforts, daily equipment maintenance, 5-S standardization, and quality adherence. It is responsible for creating the annual business plan for manufacturing KPIs, labor, and overhead expense, and for obtaining and analyzing production data to identify trends and weak points for improvement. The role requires data-driven analysis of problems and issues, with effective countermeasures implemented based on this data. The Production Manager is responsible for achieving the company’s overall production targets and efficiencies, including targeted Bekido rates, Chokko rates, PPH goals, and PPLH goals, as well as overall Quality Goals in conjunction with the Quality Department. This includes reducing Scrap %, Non-Conformance Product Reporting, and Customer Complaints. The position also assures safe working conditions, environmental compliance, and implementation of EMS in their areas. Additionally, it focuses on improving machine uptime by managing improvement activities with Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance Departments, identifying training needs, supporting company policy, and facilitating good communication.
