About The Position

Floor Coverings International is seeking a Production Manager to lead daily operations, manage installer relationships, and ensure customer satisfaction from start to finish. This role is customer satisfaction-driven, requiring strong leadership, multitasking, attention to detail, industry knowledge, and a proactive attitude to keep projects moving forward. The ideal candidate will be a natural leader who thrives on keeping projects on time and customers delighted.

Requirements

2+ years of experience in flooring installation and/or production management preferred
Strong communication skills, both by phone and in person
Proficient in scheduling, planning, and workflow optimization
Tech-savvy (Salesforce, Excel, Outlook, or similar tools)
Proactive problem-solver with strong planning skills and a can-do attitude
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Confident decision-making abilities
Genuine passion for delivering an outstanding customer experience
Ability to visit active job sites and warehouse areas, including walking on uneven surfaces and occasional lifting
Valid driver's license and proof of insurance

Responsibilities

Build and nurture lasting relationships to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
Keep customers and installers informed with clear, timely updates on project timelines, start dates, and any immediate needs.
Lead weekly meetings with sales staff to review new sales and ongoing projects.
Proactively source and evaluate installer talent.
Oversee relationships with installers and vendors to ensure consistent quality and dependable partnerships.
Resolve conflicts, negotiate effectively, and troubleshoot challenges that arise during construction to keep projects on track — with a solutions-first, can-do approach.
Organize and oversee product storage for efficient, orderly warehouse operations.
Conduct regular job site visits to verify that work meets company standards and customer expectations.
Oversee product allocation and manage job costs efficiently.
Take before-and-after photos on every project to ensure accountability and quality.
Strive for 5-star ratings on every project through exceptional service and strong relationships — this is the heartbeat of the role.
