About The Position

The Production Manager leads night-shift lamination operations in our fast-paced, 24/7 environment, ensuring SEQCD targets are met across all production assets. Working 2:00pm-10:30pm, this role drives efficient labor use, stable processes, and strict adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards through strong execution and continuous improvement.

  • Ability to review production reports for accuracy and identify trends.
  • Proficiency in tracking and analyzing productivity, quality, and labor performance metrics.
  • Experience in consolidating and generating reports for management review.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, ISO, and internal standards compliance.
  • Ability to enforce adherence to policies, SOPs, and work rules.
  • Skill in promoting safe work practices and driving EHS performance.
  • Experience in leading resolution of production, EHS, and quality issues.
  • Proficiency in conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ability to monitor the effectiveness of solutions and prevent recurrence.
  • Experience in leading Kaizen initiatives.
  • Skill in identifying and driving 5S improvements.
  • Ability to support implementation of new products, processes, and equipment.
  • Experience in monitoring trials and collecting process data.

Responsibilities

  • Model the “safety first” behaviors we expect of all employees by ensuring that operational procedures and processes are performed safely and provide a safe work environment.
  • Own and manage manpower across all production. Allocate supervisors and operators to ensure balanced coverage across operations.
  • Control labor utilization includes overtime and double time to align with cost targets. Adjust staffing based on real-time conditions (downtime, priority changes, bottlenecks). Monitor labor productivity and drive improvements in labor efficiency. Manage absenteeism, shift coverage, and workforce flexibility through cross-training.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to motivate the workforce while identifying opportunities to optimize labor utilization and reduce overall labor costs
  • Review production reports for accuracy and identify trends. Track and analyze productivity, quality, and labor performance metrics. Consolidate and generate reports for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, ISO, and internal standards. Enforce adherence to policies, SOPs, and work rules. Promote safe work practices and actively drive EHS performance.
  • Lead resolution of production, EHS, and quality issues. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Monitor effectiveness of solutions and prevent recurrence. Escalate issues to Maintenance, Engineering, and R&D as needed.
  • Lead Kaizen initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and labor utilization. Identify and drive 5S improvements across all work areas. Support implementation of new products, processes, and equipment. Monitor trials and collect process data to support improvements.
