About The Position
This role is responsible for assisting and coaching teams to ensure quality, production, and shipment requirements are met. The Production Manager will maintain a safe workplace and work culture, stay current with industry equipment and technology, and meet budgeted production targets. They will also ensure environmental compliance, manage various data inputs, and oversee employee productivity and training. Additionally, the role involves implementing training plans, ensuring compliance with work instructions, and participating in and managing capital projects.
Requirements
- Positive and proactive attitude with ability to address issues and implement solutions
- Understanding of heavy equipment and mining operations
- Detail and process oriented with strong problem resolution abilities
- Must be able to work in a team environment and willing and able to adapt to fast-paced changing environments
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction or related field and/or 5 years of experience in mining or construction environment is preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist and coach team(s) to ensure quality, production, and shipment requirements are being met
- Maintain a safe workplace and work culture in accordance with company policy(s) and MSHA standards
- Stay current with new equipment and technology in the industry
- Meet budgeted production targets
- Maintain environmental compliance per company policy, permits, and government regulations
- Manage data captured including but not limited to SAP inputs, timecard maintenance, EMS system, Blast reporting
- Manage employee productivity, job performance, and overall production efficiencies
- Implement training plans to provide employees with the necessary training to perform their job safely and effectively
- Ensure compliance with work instructions to define and control the production process
- Participate in long term capital project planning
- Manage capital projects within department
