About The Position

The Production Manager is accountable for delivering stable, high‑output manufacturing performance at the Seguin Xerxes facility. This role owns daily production results, execution discipline, and frontline leadership effectiveness across a multi‑shift operation. Success in this role directly impacts plant throughput, cost control, safety performance, and the ability to meet aggressive monthly production targets. The Production Manager is a hands‑on, floor‑based leader who drives accountability, enforces standards, and builds a culture of execution and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • University degree required; degree in Engineering, Business, or Finance preferred
  • 7–10 years of experience in heavy manufacturing or industrial operations; 10+ years preferred
  • Proven experience leading multi‑shift production operations with direct and indirect reports
  • Strong background in production planning, scheduling, and KPI‑driven performance management
  • Hands‑on experience with ERP systems; IFS experience preferred
  • Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, or Continuous Improvement experience preferred
  • Bilingual English and Spanish preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership style characterized by high accountability, urgency, direct performance management, and data‑driven decision making

Responsibilities

  • Own daily production output, execution of recovery plans, and achievement of monthly production targets
  • Stabilize molding throughput, the primary production constraint within the plant
  • Implement and maintain hourly production tracking with clear supervisor accountability
  • Lead, coach, and develop frontline supervisors to strengthen execution discipline and ownership
  • Drive consistent delivery against standard hours and unit output expectations
  • Establish real‑time production control and actively manage performance gaps
  • Operate as a visible, hands‑on leader on the production floor, addressing issues as they arise
  • Partner cross‑functionally with Plant Manager, Safety, HR, Manufacturing, and Logistics to achieve operational goals
