About The Position

We’re looking for a hands-on, people-first leader to own operations at our IPP facility. You will have the opportunity to drive performance, coach frontline teams, and ensure a seamless handoff from 1st to 2nd shift—all while building a culture of accountability, safety, and high-quality output.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of leadership experience in manufacturing or related production environments
  • A self-starter who thrives with autonomy and leads by example
  • Comfortable making real-time decisions on the floor and aligning cross-shift priorities
  • Passionate about team development, coaching, and communication
  • Motivated by operational excellence, continuous improvement, and safety-first manufacturing

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Knowledge and experience with production scheduling
  • Ability to implement and drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement processes
  • Heavy equipment or automotive manufacturing experience at the management level
  • Previous experience with fabrication and welding

Responsibilities

  • Oversees plant production by observing activity and setting standards to ensure production and quality needs are met.
  • Lead and enforce a positive safety culture through VPP and SMS certifications
  • Maintain a strong, visible presence on the production floor — actively monitoring workflow and addressing bottlenecks
  • Conducts meetings and discussions pertaining to continuous improvement in responsible areas.
  • Develop and maintain an environment that promotes productivity and throughput to include conflict resolution.
  • Creates and maintains budgets, approves expenditures, and manages operations keeping within budgets.
  • Direct Production Supervisors and their teams across all shifts fostering accountability, engagement, and strong floor leadership.
  • Identify and remove production barriers in real time, including part shortages, staffing gaps, quality concerns, or process inefficiencies.
  • Partner cross-functionally with supply chain, materials, engineering, and other facilities to expedite critical or “hot” parts and prevent line disruptions.
  • Assure that the production schedules are met as determined by the master schedule.
  • Assure that all units manufactured meet or exceed quality standards.
  • Assist in the development and coordination of new methods and procedures to reduce manufacturing costs.
