Requirements

  • Proven experience in production management, with a track track record of successfully leading production teams and meeting production targets.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective leadership and team-building abilities, with a focus on motivating and developing staff.
  • Proficiency in using production management software and tools.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Post secondary education in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular safety audits and Gemba Walks.
  • Promote active engagement in safe work practices.
  • Foster accountability by upholding established standards and practices.
  • Ensure attendance of team(s) in required safety training courses.
  • Participate in incident reporting, investigations and follow up actions.
  • Maintain compliance with company quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
  • Address quality issues promptly.
  • Ensure timely responses to audit findings, opportunities for improvement (OFIs), and corrective actions.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop supervisors and production teams.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations and alignment on goals.
  • Promote clear communication across all organizational levels.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss goals and address issues.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork and employee development.
  • Develop and implement production schedules.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, using lean manufacturing principles where applicable.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production rates, cycle times, and quality metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement production plans and strategies.
  • Coordinate production activities and personnel.
  • Analyze production performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.
  • Manage resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to maximize production output while controlling costs.
  • Champion continuous improvement efforts to streamline processes, increase productivity, and maintain high quality.
  • Prepare and present regular production reports.
