Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Production Manager is responsible for the overall shift production, PPOH, Quality, Customer Relations, Housekeeping, Security, Safety, and maintaining and developing the workforce. This role involves fiscal management of shift operations, direct cost control, and knowledge of vendor contracts. The Production Manager oversees payroll and labor costs, ensuring cost-effective plant operations while maintaining a safe work environment. They act as a liaison with the Engineering manager for equipment upkeep and safety, and are responsible for plant safety and regulatory compliance, including training for new hires and existing employees. The position also involves assisting customers with emergencies, understanding production costing and laundry design, assisting in budget forecasting and approval, preparing performance reviews, handling disciplinary procedures, maintaining PPOH levels, training and developing personnel, preparing work schedules, developing action plans for the supervisory team, overseeing utility and supply management, and exploring new labor opportunities.
