About The Position

This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to assist production leadership with daily, weekly, and monthly manufacturing activities. The intern will support tracking and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs), participate in continuous improvement projects, and gain exposure to various aspects of production, quality, maintenance, and logistics. The role requires a strong interest in manufacturing leadership and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in manufacturing leadership, production management, or operations.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing concepts and production environments preferred.
  • Ability to analyze data, organize information, and support multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and learn shop-floor operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist production leadership with daily, weekly, and monthly manufacturing activities to support customer quality and delivery requirements.
  • Support tracking and reporting of department KPIs, including safety, quality, delivery, and productivity metrics.
  • Assist with data collection and analysis related to Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), downtime, scrap, and labor utilization.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and cost-reduction projects under the guidance of production management.
  • Observe and support daily production meetings and shift handoffs.
  • Assist with maintaining production-related documentation, reports, and records.
  • Support 4S shop floor organization, cleanliness, and standardization initiatives.
  • Assist with coordination between production, quality, maintenance, and logistics teams to support manufacturing targets.
  • Observe and assist with staffing coordination, training documentation, and workforce planning activities.
  • Support compliance with safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Assist with preparation for customer visits, audits, and internal reviews.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management.
