About The Position

MSI Express is a leading manufacturing and contract packaging partner trusted by top CPG brands, as well as emerging and private label brands. This is a 10-week internship program during Summer 2027, running Monday through Friday for approximately 8 hours per day/40 hours per week, with a pay rate of $19.00/hour. This role is not eligible for benefits. The internship program offers the opportunity to make an impact from day one by working on real business challenges, partnering with leaders across the company, and developing and implementing solutions. The experience culminates in a presentation to senior leadership highlighting results and recommendations. Interns will work on projects that make an impact, tackle meaningful business challenges, engage with cross-functional teams, learn from business leaders, and develop leadership skills.

Requirements

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Interest in manufacturing operations and continuous improvement.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Currently enrolled in an Operations Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or related academic program.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

Assist production teams in monitoring daily manufacturing activities to ensure safety, quality, and productivity objectives are met.
Support initiatives focused on reducing waste, improving efficiencies, and optimizing production processes.
Collect and analyze operational data to identify trends, improvement opportunities, and process bottlenecks.
Assist in creating and updating work instructions, process documentation, and visual management tools.
Partner with maintenance, quality, supply chain, and engineering teams to support operational goals.
