GTI Fabrication is seeking a Production Manager – Modular Data Center to lead manufacturing operations for complex, build-to-order modular data center systems. This role is responsible for driving execution across electrical integration, structural assembly, and final system delivery within a fast-paced, high-growth environment. The ideal candidate brings a strong engineering foundation, deep electrical and data center infrastructure experience, and proven leadership in managing production teams building complex systems. This individual will play a critical role in scaling operations, improving throughput, and ensuring quality, safety, and on-time delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering strongly preferred; Mechanical or related considered with strong electrical experience)
  • 5–10+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, or operations leadership
  • Hands-on experience with electrical systems, power distribution, or industrial electrical integration
  • Background in data centers, modular systems, power systems, or mission-critical infrastructure
  • Prior leadership experience managing electricians, technicians, or skilled trades teams
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes (NEC), safety standards, and quality systems

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in modular construction, containerized systems, or prefabricated infrastructure
  • Licensed Electrician or strong field electrical background
  • Experience with data center builds, BESS systems, or power generation systems
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience working in a high-growth or startup manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production operations for modular data center builds, ensuring alignment with schedule, cost, and quality targets
  • Manage and develop a team of supervisors, electricians, and assembly technicians
  • Drive production planning, staffing, and workflow coordination across multiple workstreams (electrical, mechanical, structural)
  • Ensure on-time delivery of customer programs in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment
  • Oversee installation and integration of electrical systems including power distribution, switchgear, UPS systems, and control panels
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, UL, and data center design standards
  • Partner closely with engineering on system designs, redlines, and manufacturability improvements
  • Support commissioning, testing (FAT), and troubleshooting of electrical systems
  • Act as the bridge between Engineering, NPI, Supply Chain, and Quality to ensure seamless production execution
  • Review drawings, schematics, and BOMs to ensure production readiness
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on Lean manufacturing, process optimization, and throughput
  • Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, technical issues, and resource constraints
  • Champion a strong safety-first culture aligned with OSHA and company standards
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and inspection processes throughout build cycles
  • Implement and maintain standard work, process controls, and documentation
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for production and quality issues
  • Track and report key production metrics including throughput, efficiency, on-time delivery, and quality performance
  • Drive improvements in labor utilization, material flow, and production layout
  • Support scaling of manufacturing operations to meet growing demand
