The Production Manager is responsible for ensuring smooth communication flow and coordination across all assembly‑related functions and Company resources involved in each product build.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Ten (10) years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical assembly processes, including reading and interpreting engineering drawings, BOMs, and building manuals.
  • Experience overseeing teams working with sub‑assemblies and machine builds following engineering specifications.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, lead, and develop a team in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and passport.
  • Mechanical aptitude and technical understanding of assembly methods, hand tools, precision measurement devices, and safe manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee assembly operations within the production facility to ensure alignment with strategic objectives, quality standards, and on time delivery goals.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Parts/Service, and Sales/Marketing to manage part‑kit processes for new machine builds, rebuilds, and conversion projects.
  • Lead day‑to‑day production activities for assigned machine product lines and spare parts, ensuring efficient use of labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Review production schedules and capacity utilization; adjust plans to optimize workflow between machine assembly and fabrication.
  • Promote teamwork across assembly, engineering, and production areas to ensure machines are built to customer specifications, within budget, and delivered on time.
  • Support accurate transfer of engineering designs and documentation into production.
  • Champion continuous improvement efforts—identify opportunities to streamline processes, conserve resources, and enhance build quality.
  • Oversee maintenance of assembly equipment; recommend repairs, upgrades, or new purchases to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Evaluate team and process performance; implement interventions or development plans as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO procedures and maintain a clean, organized shop using 5S standards.
  • Provide technical guidance on assembly processes, including component fit‑up, use of fixtures, alignment, secondary machining operations, and final testing.
  • Ensure assembly teams follow engineering blueprints, build manuals, and bill‑of‑materials accurately and efficiently.
