About The Position

The Production Maintenance Technician provides maintenance support for the plant. The role installs, troubleshoots, and repairs varied machinery and related equipment, performs preventive maintenance, maintains equipment and inventory records, and responds to unplanned equipment failures that interrupt production. The technician works with production personnel, machine operators, and supervisors to address equipment problems and communicate safety concerns.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Extensive knowledge of troubleshooting and resolving issues involving electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, circuitry, PLC, AC/DC drivers, and welding fabrication.
• Intermediate math and computer skills.
• English written communication skills.
• Demonstrated proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 70 pounds, and work constantly in hot environments.
• Ability to meet objectives and deadlines with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, including replacing motors, relays, and switches on varied machinery up to and including three-phase, 480-volt equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and maintain records to support safe, reliable equipment.
• Serve as a point of contact for production personnel regarding preventive maintenance and troubleshooting problem equipment.
• Diagnose and repair forklifts, pumps, hydraulics, and other related equipment.
• Maintain and refill parts inventory.
• Respond promptly to unplanned equipment failures and resolve issues causing production downtime.
• Communicate equipment issues and safety concerns effectively with machine operators and supervisors.
• Use personal protective equipment properly.
• Perform related tasks as requested by the supervisor.
