Perform diversified duties to install and maintain production packaging equipment and facility equipment and systems. This role involves performing emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production runs, as well as scheduled maintenance repairs of facility and production equipment. Responsibilities include mechanical repair (pneumatics, electrical, mechanical, robotics, conveyer systems), reading and interpreting equipment manuals and electrical blueprints, diagnosing issues, repairing and replacing parts, and testing equipment. The position also requires following a preventive maintenance schedule, performing fabrication duties when necessary, troubleshooting programmable logic controls (PLCs), detecting faulty parts before failure, and effectively entering work orders into computerized maintenance management software (CMMS). The role requires the use of various hand tools, power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment, as well as the operation of computers, tablets, HMIs, and cameras. Effective communication with staff at all levels and active participation in company safety meetings are essential. Adherence to GMPs and all other company quality and food safety programs related to the maintenance department is mandatory. All other duties as assigned.
