About The Position

This position sets up machines, checks products, and keeps production items moving through machining areas while meeting Zimmer Biomet standards for quantity and quality. The role may also perform additional responsibilities, including non-destructive testing, cell support, mass finishing, injection molding, and polishing.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of machining experience on CNC lathes and/or mills, or four semesters of relevant training; alternatively, verified vocational or high school machine shop training with one year of CNC experience.
• Working knowledge of precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, comparators, and indicators.
• Ability to repeatedly lift in the 60-pound range.
• Ability to work in a team or cellular environment.
• Demonstrated ability to set up machines.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines, lathes, mills, or machining centers for production.
• Check products and keep production items moving through machining areas while meeting quantity and quality standards.
• Participate in ongoing process improvements.
• Record production through a DPI terminal and maintain count cards.
• Perform additional cell responsibilities as necessary.
• May perform non-destructive testing, cell support, mass finishing, injection molding, and polishing.
