About The Position

The Production Machinist & Assembler performs basic setup steps and operates a variety of laser welding machines in the Global Machining Center of Excellence. The role also involves machining and bench operations, including assembly and testing. The operator reads blueprints and uses measuring instruments to verify that produced parts meet blueprint dimensions.

Requirements

• Laser welding and/or precision welding experience.

Nice To Haves

• Graduate of a vocational school in machining or equivalent.
• Manual or CNC machining experience.
• Familiarity with blueprints and measuring instruments, and a working knowledge of decimals.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic setups and machining functions associated with machinery in the Laser Welding Department.
• Perform bench-type operations, including assembly, testing, and other operations of a more complicated nature.
• Read blueprints and verify produced-part dimensions using measuring instruments such as micrometers and verniers.
