About The Position

The Production Machinist & Assembler performs basic setup steps and operates a variety of laser welding machines in the Global Machining Center of Excellence. The role includes machining operations and bench work, such as assembly testing, as well as reading blueprints and checking produced parts against blueprint dimensions using measuring instruments.

Requirements

• Laser welding and/or precision welding experience.
• Familiarity with blueprints, measuring instruments, and working with decimals is preferred.
• Manual or CNC machining experience is preferred.
• Graduation from a vocational school in machining or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic setups and machining functions associated with machinery in the Laser Welding Department.
• Perform bench operations, including assembly testing and other more complicated operations.
• Read blueprints and verify produced-part dimensions against them using measuring instruments such as micrometers and verniers.
