About The Position

Starting wage is based on experience and shift. In addition to a base wage, every associate is eligible for quarterly profit sharing!! Various shifts are available and off shifts include additional shift differential pay. We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team in Newport, NH. This role is responsible for operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining CNC machining equipment to produce parts that meet quality and production standards. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, can independently diagnose machining issues, perform tool and offset adjustments, and ensure optimal machine performance with minimal supervision. Requirements

  • 5+ years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC mills and/or lathes.
  • Proficiency with:
  • Tool changes and tool wear adjustments
  • Work offsets and tool offsets
  • Fixture setup and adjustment
  • Tramming vises and fixtures
  • Ability to troubleshoot machining issues independently.
  • Experience using precision inspection equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Familiarity with common CNC controls (Fanuc, Haas, Okuma, or similar).
  • Basic understanding of G-code and ability to perform minor program edits.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC mills and/or lathes to produce components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Perform machine setup adjustments including work offsets, tooling offsets, and program verification.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, fixturing, part quality, and machine performance.
  • Perform tool changes, tool life monitoring, and provide tool wear data.
  • Adjust and maintain work holding and fixtures to ensure part accuracy and repeatability.
  • Tram vises, fixtures, and machine components to maintain precision alignment.
  • Inspect parts using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, indicators, and equators.
  • Make minor program edits at the machine as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Maintain shift change documentation of offsets, adjustments, and daily issues.
  • Assist in improving machining processes, cycle times, and tooling strategies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety and 5S standards.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
