About The Position

Under direction of the supervisor, this person would perform various miscellaneous job tasks within the department. In cooperation with the line crew, this position supports departmental production operations. This includes responsibility and authority to achieve cost, quality, safety, morale and service objectives. The role involves operating assigned equipment in manufacturing Lunchables according to packaging specifications, finished product specifications, and all safety requirements. This includes getting supplies, loading supplies, operating machines, clearing jams and restarting machine, and monitoring machine performance. The operator will be trained and rotate to primary packaging equipment and operate by the HACCP plans for the product line. They are responsible for maintaining a clean work area, adhering to all GMP’s and safety policies such as LO/TO and Personal Protective Equipment, and operating under the Kraft Heinz Safety Values. This includes adhering to all safety and environmental policies, procedures and compliance programs, and working toward achieving an injury-free environment. The position involves reviewing work areas for potential losses and loss control opportunities and reporting hazards, injuries/illnesses, and other losses to Line Leads. The operator will utilize HMI display and make minor adjustments per SKU needs, detect when adjustments are required based on machine observations and performance, and respond to machine faults promptly and correctly for maximum machine up time. Effective communication of electrical and mechanical problems, supply problems, and machine problems is essential. The role also includes assisting in product changeovers on the line, including mechanical changeovers on each individual piece of equipment. The individual must be self-motivated, able to work in a team environment, and possess good communication skills.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Regularly required to stand and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Able to work in a team environment.
  • Good communication is essential.
