About The Position

Since 1995, PRI Plus has been specializing in high-performance materials tailored for the label printing industry. Our custom coating and slitting capabilities allow us to deliver application-specific solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. PRI Plus is looking to fill a position for a Coater Machine Operator Monday - Friday 8:00a.m. - 4:30p.m. We are seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined Coater Machine Operator to join our production team. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the coater to apply coatings to materials.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
Understand proper setup of all coating and slitting equipment
Previous experience operating a coater machine or similar industrial equipment preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Ability to read and interpret work orders, technical documents, and safety instructions
Basic math skills and ability to use measurement tools such as micrometers or calipers
Physically able to lift up to 50lbs, stand for 8 hours, and work in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

Set up and operate coater machine according to production orders and material specifications
Monitor machine operations to ensure proper coating coverage and adherence to quality standards
Load and unload rolls or sheets of raw material into the machine
Adjust machine settings such as temperature, speed, tension, and pressure
Inspect coated materials for uniformity, defects, or inconsistencies
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on coater machine
Record production data including output quantity, downtime, and material usage
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
Communicate with team members and supervisors regarding production status or issues
Troubleshoot operational problems and escalate complex issues as needed
Cross Train on other equipment
