Production Machine Operator — CNC, Laser & Vinyl (Day Shift)
About The Position
PCL Graphics is an engineering house that specializes in printing, designing, fabricating, and producing large-format print and visual solutions for prominent retail, architectural, and signage brands in North America. They are seeking a hands-on machine operator to join their growing day-shift production team. The role involves operating a range of equipment in the cutting and fabrication department, including CNC routers, laser cutters, and Summa vinyl cutters. This position requires flexibility as the operator will move between different machines based on the daily workload, and a willingness to learn new equipment.
Requirements
- Technical and detail-oriented with the ability to read dockets and identify potential issues.
- Reliable with consistent attendance.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work at a steady and accurate pace.
- Open-minded and eager to learn new equipment and processes.
- Comfortable learning new equipment and switching between different machines.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in print, sign-making, fabrication, or CNC/cutting.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret job dockets to understand specifications and desired outcomes.
- Load sheets and substrates, set up machines, and execute accurate cuts.
- Transfer finished work to the appropriate station for subsequent steps.
- Maintain a consistent and productive pace to ensure efficient workflow.
- Handle each job with care to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Organize and maintain a safe work area.
- Operate CNC router, laser cutter, and Summa vinyl cutter.
